It began in 1994, I happened to transit at Bucharest airport on my way back from a visit to a close friend in Germany that I met a smart young salesman. I gave him a decent ball pen as a friendship token.
A little while before flight departure for Bangkok, he ran up to give and gave a 100 years old Romanian wine.
I had a certain information about Dr. Ana Aslan , the founder of the Romanian Institute of Gerontology & Geriatrics. She is well known for her anti-aging science . Rejuvenation is the word that made her known to the world than the name of the country “Romania” itself.
Before disembarkation, I asked the young boy to find out about Dr. Ana Aslan’s institute and make an appointment with the Director for me .
Within a month , Adrian, the sophomore Bucharest university student succeeded to get an appointment with the new director or the institute, Dr. Dragomi, a then Bucharest senator. After a month of visa process, I flew alone to meet him in Bucharest.
